When the inventor came in with his idea he had already made a set of lifting straps to try in his moving business. He had learned a lot about the pros and cons of the components he had built the straps with. He was looking for better webbing, a better buckle and a way to keep the straps from binding and rubbing on each other.
We sourced better webbing, buckles and found a company to do the sewing. Our engineering department went to work on the design of a plastic piece to keep the straps from binding and rubbing. The figure 8 was designed and a prototype was made. The new set with the figure 8 was field tested and returned. The production mold was made for the figure 8. Production strap sets were made and sent out for strength testing at the lab and passed the required specifications.
