I.T.I. Inc. was contacted to develop a knee cannula for DePuy Inc. they had been purchasing cannulas from another manufacturer to put into their kits. They wanted their own design with their name on the device.  

Working with their engineers we rounded up the cannulas presently on the market that had something they liked about them. Taking all their requirements and ideas the design evolved in the next months. The injection molds were designed with their logo in the cap. Knowing the volumes were going to be low and pricing was dictated by the other products out there; we designed it to have the least amount of assembly possible.
