A gentleman that our engineer had worked with called
looking for a solution for his manufacturing problem.
His converting vendor was having problems with his
application therefore creating problems getting material
for his product. The other issue was that because
there were problems the vendor was charging him for
their time spent addressing the issue.

Picton Technologies Inc.
This product is a safety device for the railroad industry
and it was the brainchild of a train engineer with
BNSF. Knowing that derailments, with their cost of
life, money and safety issues, were a problem that
needed to be addressed. Using PVC pipe and various
off the shelf items he created his first working
prototype. After testing it he knew that it was a
product.

Cold Avenger
This project had an interesting start, the inventor, a doctor, came in requesting that we create a ski mask so that his face could stay warm on those real cold days. The next meeting he brought in one of those dust masks that are very thick and has the funny little square plastic piece over the nose. He had brought his daughter along and she said “only my dad would wear that on the ski hill”. Of course that was just a concept…

Terzo Bow Sight
Unlike our other products this product was already engineered. Our customer was looking for contract manufacturing because he didn’t want to do the manufacturing; he wanted to focus on sales and marketing.

Lifting Straps
When the inventor came in with his idea he had already made a set of lifting straps to try in his moving business. He had learned a lot about the pros and cons of the components he had built the straps with. He was looking for better webbing, a better buckle and a way to keep the straps from binding and rubbing on each other.
